Passed Indian School Certificate Examinations conducted by The University of Cambridge of Local Examinations Syndicate (1977). Graduated in Commerce (Hons) from Delhi University (1977-80) & Post-Graduation in Commerce from Himachal Pradesh University (1980-82). Started off as an Accountant/Auditor in Accountants General of Himachal Pradesh from Oct.1982 to Oct.1984. Thereafter, worked in the Ministry of External Affairs from Oct.1984 to Feb.2018. Did the following foreign postings during the career :
1) March 1987 to April 1990 as an Assistant, Consulate General of India, Saint Denis, Reunion Island (France)
2) September 1992 to June 1996 as an Assistant, Embassy of India, Muscat (Oman) iii) April 1999 to June 2002 as an Assistant, Embassy of India, Tripoli (Libya)
3) October 2004 to November 2007 as a Vice Consul, Consulate General of India, Vancouver (Canada)
4) December 2007 to January 2011 as an Attaché, Embassy of India, Nairobi (Kenya)
5) January 2012 to April 2014 as a Second Secretary & HOC, Embassy of India, Havana(Cuba)
6) May 2014 to February 2018 as a First Secretary & HOC Embassy of India, Bratislava (Slovakia).
